What is the aluminum fencing warranty? What does it cover? How long does it last? What are the differences in the major manufacturers warranty? When you are purchasing an aluminum fence, go look at some reference projects of your contractor and see the current fencing (less than a year old) and older projects (5 – 10 years old) and you will actually see how well the fencing holds up! Once you are satisfied with the manufactured product, then you need to choose your contractor (how to find a quality fence contractor).

Aluminum fence warranty?

Everyone covers aluminum fencing to not rust! Why is that? Physically speaking, ALUMINUM CANNOT RUST! Great warranty because we know it cannot happen. Sounds great, all companies warranty this, but the fact is, ALUMINUM CANNOT RUST.  Remember the old mill finish (silver color) of your parents aluminum screen door in the 1960’s and 1970’s? These aluminum screen doors could have a color (powder coated) or the mill finish (color from the aluminum plant silver with no paint). Now the mill finish could pit and corrode but never oxidize (rust) because ALUMINUM CANNOT RUST.

Powder Coating Paint?

Powder coating was developed years ago, a system of heating the paint and covering the aluminum bonding the paint to the aluminum. Great system and that is why EVERY MANUFACTURER HAS A LIFETIME PAINT WARRANTY! 

They may call it powder coat, jell coat,fenc coat,  paint coat but basically the industry standard painting is the same system for bonding paint to the aluminum for a long life.  Most aluminum fence warranty will cover a lifetime on the original owner and is not transferable. I think this has more to do with tracking the product by consumer name and is a paperwork issue.  The paint job should last 50+ years because the technology is there and prevalent.

Quality of the Paint?

As long as you are using American made aluminum fencing products ( made in America, not made in China or made in China and assembled in America) you can feel comfortable of the safety of the paint (lead base paint, filler in paint).

Hudson warrants to the original consumer purchaser of our aluminum fence products a limited lifetime warranty that our aluminum products will be free from defect in workmanship and that our coating will not crack, chip or peel. Gate workmanship, including welds, are warranted for a period of two years. Custom gates do not carry a warranty. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable. This warranty does not extend to damage caused by use other than that which the fence material has been designed for, negligence, alteration, accident, improper storage or installation, abuse, misuse, vandalism, acts of war or acts of God. The above constitutes the complete warranty by Hudson Fence Supply, Inc. and no other agreement, written or implied is valid. No person is authorized to change or modify this warranty. This warranty is not transferable. Proof of purchase is required.

Lifetime Limited Warranty

Thank you for purchasing a SPECRAIL aluminum ornamental fencing product. We are proud of our product and warrant that the fence will remain serviceable and structurally sound for a lifetime. This warranty covers materials and workmanship only.

This warranty also promises that the powder coat finish on the product will not chip, peel, crack or flake and that the aluminum fence will never rust as long as you own it.

SPECRAIL is proud to offer this warranty under the following conditions:

• SPECRAIL reserves the right to inspect the product under claim and to determine whether to repair or replace the same. Any cost derived from the removal, and reinstallation of confirmed defective parts is the responsibility of the purchaser.
• This warranty becomes invalid if the product is improperly installed, altered, misused, damaged caused by negligence, abuse, accident, damaged in transit, mishandling, exposure to corrosive elements or by any act of God.

Except as specifically provided herein, SPECRAIL makes no other warranties express or implied.

This warranty is not transferable. To activate the warranty, a copy of the sales receipt along with this warranty form must be returned to SPECRAIL within 30 days of installation. The above constitutes the complete warranty by SPECRAIL. Changes or modifications of this warranty by any person are strictly prohibited.

Every Jerith aluminum fence is backed by our Lifetime Warranty. This guarantee covers our products against rust, defects in workmanship and materials, as well as chipping, peeling, or cracking of the FencCoat™ finish for as long as you own your Jerith fence. 

ALUMINUM FENCING WARRANTY – ALUMI-GUARD ALUMINUM ORNAMENTAL

Alumi-Guard Ornamental Aluminum Fencing (“Alumi-Guard”) carries a lifetime- limited warranty (“warranty”) against defects in workmanship. Alumi-Guard also warrants the powder coated finish will not chip, crack, or flake. The warranty is not transferable and is only valid to the original purchaser. The warranty on commercial installations of fences that are purchased by other than a natural person, shall be limited to a period of thirty (30) years.

Alumi-Guard will repair and/or replace, at their sole discretion, those items found to be defective. Alumi-Guard will not be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages. This warranty does not cover the cost of removal, or transportation charges incurred for the purpose of inspection and validation of the claim for the repair or replacement of the fence. All removal, shipping, and reinstallation costs shall be the responsibility of the Purchaser. Any materials that are suspected of needing warranty action must be shipped to Alumi-Guard’s factory in Brooksville, Florida. The freight charges must be pre-paid by the shipper. Alumi-Guard will not accept collect shipments.

This warranty becomes void if the product is mishandled, altered, abused, misused, damaged in transit or damaged by an uncontrollable force of nature, act of God, or declaration of war. Alumi-Guard will not be held responsible for personal injury resulting from a defect in the fencing materials.

In order for the warranty to be valid, the warranty acknowledgement must be completed and returned to Alumi-Guard along with a copy of your retail bill of sale within thirty (30) days of the installation. Failure to timely return the warranty acknowledgement and proof of payment in full for the material will automatically void the warranty without further action on the part of Alumi-Guard.

The above warranty constitutes the complete warranty by Alumi-Guard and there is no other agreement either written or implied. No person is authorized to modify this warranty. Venue for any legal action brought to enforce any right under this warranty shall be in Hernando County, Florida. The warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which may vary from State to State.

ALUMINUM FENCING WARRANTY – ELITE ALUMINUM ORNAMENTAL

Elite Fence Products, Inc. (Elite) warrants the original purchaser of the Elite Fence (the “Fence”) that the Fence will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the fence. Elite also warrants to the original purchaser that the Fence’s paint finish will not crack, chip or peel for as long as the original purchaser owns the fence. This warranty does not extend to damage caused by use other than the normal use for which the Fence is intended, negligence, alteration, accident, improper installation, abuse, misuse, vandalism, extreme environment conditions, or acts of God.

All claims for a breach of this warranty shall be submitted to Elite in writing specifically describing the nature of the breach, together with a photograph of the defective portion of the Fence and a copy of the original retail bill of sale. Elite reserves the right to inspect the defective portion at Elite’s factory to determine if the claim is valid. If the claim is valid, Elite shall at its discretion, either repair or replace the defective portion of the Fence. However, all removal, shipping and reinstallation costs are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Material must not be returned to the factory without prior written authorization from Elite.

The above sets forth Elite’s complete warrant and the exclusive remedies against Elite with respect to the Fence. NO ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES ARE GIVEN, EXPRESSLY, STATUTORY OR IMPLIED, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTIBILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS HERBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. Elite shall not in any event be responsible for consequential, personal injury or incidental damages. No person or entity is authorized to change, modify or supplement this warranty, and any such attempt and any other written or implied agreement shall not be valid as against Elite.

This warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the Fence, is not transferable and is void unless the attached registration card is completed and returned to Elite, along with dated proof of purchase within thirty days (30) of the purchase of the Fence. In addition, if the purchaser of the Fence is other than a natural person (i.e. corporation, LLC, or similar) this warranty shall terminate twenty five (25) years after the date of purchase to the Fence, not withstanding anything else herein.

This warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights. The purchaser may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Also, some of the limitations set forth above may not be allowed in certain states and therefore may not apply to particular purchasers.
