Vinyl Fence Installation in Knoxville, TN
Clean Lines. Less Upkeep. More Backyard.
Vinyl fence installation is for people who want a fence they can forget about. No staining, no painting, no rotted posts in year eight. You wash it with a hose once a year and that is the whole job.

THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOUR SPACE
A clean look that fits your life.
Choose vinyl when you want a consistent finish and a fence that does not need routine painting or staining. Solid panels can screen a backyard, while open pickets define a boundary without closing off the view.
Start with the way you use the space. Think about the privacy you need beside a patio, the routes you use through the yard, and how the fence should look from both sides. Your estimator can help you compare available profiles, heights, colors, and gate arrangements.
What you’ll appreciate
- No routine staining or painting
- Privacy and open-picket designs
- A coordinated finish across fence and gates
What to consider
- Color and profile availability depend on the product
- Impact damage can require replacement parts
- Slopes and gate openings affect the layout

Why Vinyl Fence Installation Quality Matters More Than the Material
Almost every failed vinyl fence we are called out to fix failed at the post, not the panel.
Vinyl posts are hollow. If they are not set deep enough, in enough concrete, wind works them loose. A cheap job looks perfect on day one and starts leaning after the second storm.
See our vinyl fence installation process for how we set posts and panels, or read Is Vinyl Fencing Right for You? if you’re still deciding.
Here is how we do it:
- Posts below the frost line, in concrete, every time.
- Corner and gate posts get extra depth and often a steel insert.
- Panels routed into the posts, not screwed to the face.
- Gate posts get the heaviest bracing on the job.
Ask any company bidding your vinyl fence installation how deep they set posts. The answer tells you a lot.
Privacy or Open Picket?
A privacy design screens the space beside your patio or backyard. Open pickets create a visible boundary while keeping the landscape in view. Decorative-top panels offer another way to balance enclosure and detail.
Compare the view from inside and outside the yard. The height, picket spacing, and placement of each section matter as much as the color you choose.
For a real example, see the vinyl privacy fence we built at the University of Tennessee Boneyard.
Plan for the slope: ask whether the selected panel system will step or follow the grade. Review the resulting gaps underneath, particularly where pets use the yard.
Hardware and Brackets
Brackets and gate hardware take more abuse than panels do. We use commercial-grade hinges and latches, not the builder-grade parts in a kit.
On gates we use adjustable hinges, because vinyl gates settle and you will want to square one up in a few years without pulling a post.
